Through the program, we invite local organisations to share initiatives that deliver meaningful and lasting benefits for people and communities across the regions where we live and operate. Lochard supports community-led initiatives that strengthen connection, improve wellbeing, support learning and career pathways, care for local places and contribute to regional liveability.

Sponsorship Principles & Pillars

Lochard Energy supports activities that address local challenges and opportunities within the communities surrounding our operations and where our employees live. Our focus area is defined as a 50-kilometre radius of the Iona Gas Storage Facility, including the townships of Port Campbell, Peterborough, Warrnambool, Timboon, Camperdown, Simpson and Princetown.

We place a strong emphasis on supporting initiatives that help organisations build the skills, capacity and resources needed to deliver positive and lasting community outcomes. Our support is designed to make a genuine difference without creating dependency, and we seek to partner with organisations that are financially and operationally sustainable over the long term.

Funding is provided to initiatives that align with Lochard Energy's values and support one or more of our sponsorship pillars.

Supporting initiatives that contribute to meaningful reconciliation outcomes, strengthen relationships with First Nations peoples, and promote understanding, respect and opportunity within local communities.

Minimum Criteria for Support

All initiatives and organisations supported by our business, must meet the following minimum criteria:

Are reputable with a positive track record and solid governance
Are compatible with our company values
Be secular and predominantly concerned with providing services to the community
Not be affiliated with a political party
Be prepared to publicly acknowledge our support
