Commissioned in 1999, Lochard Energy’s Iona Gas Storage Facility is the largest independent provider of storage services to the East Coast gas market and has a demonstrated performance history of high plant reliability and an outstanding culture of customer service.

The facility is located near the township of Port Campbell in South West Victoria, above a depleted gas field used to store gas for our customers.

We do not undertake exploration drilling activities and are therefore not subject to the existing Victorian Government moratorium under the Petroleum Act 1998 (Petroleum Act) and the Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990 (MRSDA).
