Sponsorships & Grants

A long held tradition

Supporting the communities where we live and work has long been part of who we are at Lochard Energy. We believe strong communities are built through connection, opportunity and shared pride in place, and this belief sits at the heart of our Lochard Energy Sponsorship and Grants Program.

Through long standing partnerships and community led initiatives, we support projects across our operating regions that make a positive and lasting difference.

Our Lochard Community Sponsorship and Grants Program is guided by four key pillars: Education, Health & Wellbeing, Community Development and Reconciliation Advancement.

Key Sponsorship Activities

Over the years, Lochard Energy has proudly supported a range of community and industry initiatives, including:

  • Lochard Energy Women’s Warrnambool Cycling Classic
  • Timboon Primary School
  • Port Campbell Surf Life Saving Club
  • Neil Porter Legacy
  • Timboon Men’s Shed
  • Heytesbury Agricultural Society
  • Port Campbell Progress Group & Biolinks

Sponsorship Principles and Pillars

Each year, Lochard Energy supports a range of organisations and events across our local area.

Lochard Energy supports activities that address local challenges and opportunities within the communities surrounding our operations and where our employees live. Our focus area is defined as a 50‑kilometre radius of the Iona Gas Storage Facility, including the townships of Port Campbell, Peterborough, Warrnambool, Timboon, Camperdown, Simpson and Princetown.

We see this locally focused approach as an essential and effective way to build sustainable, meaningful relationships with these communities for mutual benefit.

Lochard Energy places a strong emphasis on supporting initiatives that help local organisations build the skills and resources needed to deliver positive and lasting community outcomes. Our support is designed to make a genuine difference without creating dependency. We look to partner with organisations that have plans in place to be financially and operationally sustainable over the long term, beyond our support.

Funding is provided to initiatives that align with Lochard Energy’s values and support one or more of the following pillars:

Education

Supporting education initiatives that build skills, knowledge and opportunity.

Health and Wellbeing

Supporting initiatives that promote physical and mental health, social connection and overall wellbeing within local communities.

Community Development

Supporting activities that enrich community life and strengthen the social, environmental and economic sustainability of local communities.

Reconciliation Advancement

Supporting initiatives that contribute to meaningful reconciliation outcomes, strengthen relationships with First Nations peoples, and promote understanding, respect and opportunity within local communities.
